We love Sera for (many things and also for) being one of those few special people for whom old houses are animate and deep mourning is justified when the dearest are torn down.
She's a generous spirit and talented artist, interested in the ways human stories, fears, triumphs, and faults leak into the architecture that surrounds us.
The drawing below was inspired by Sera's conversations with residents of Prince Edward County and by an abandoned house in the small community of Picton.
